Find Out What to Expect When You Visit The Lighthouse Church

We’ve all been the “new guy (or gal)” at some point so we want to make sure you feel very comfortable on your first visit to TLC. Hopefully the information below will help. It’s always easier in a new place when you know what to expect.
So, What should I expect?
Church Size
We’re a small but growing church so expect around 80 people in attendance on a Sunday morning and a little less on Sunday night & Wednesday night bible study.
The People
TLC has a very friendly congregation, so you may be greeted often on your first visit. Upon arriving, expect to be greeted and welcomed by our greeting team or ushers who are there to answer any questions you may have (where the restrooms, classrooms, and sanctuary are located). Parents, feel free to explore the classroom your child’s age group meets in, and ask the Sunday School teachers any additional questions.
Singing & Worship
TLC is a Pentecostal church and we often worship more demonstratively than other congregations – clapping & raising hands in worship, and praying out loud are not uncommon. Our music is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs and often includes organ, piano, drums and guitar playing.
Preaching & Prayer
As a Pentecostal church we preach the Bible. Expect to hear a sermon based on Bible principles, delivered with conviction and passion. Expect to hear the congregation “amen” the preacher and possibly clap in support at times. Each service is closed with an open alter call during which anyone is welcome to come to the alter area (front) and receive prayer for a special need or to pray individually. We believe in God’s power, so if you have a special need, please let us know.
