Our Faith

The Basics of Salvation & What We Preach Our Pentecostal Faith

Our Pentecostal Beliefs & Apostolic Faith

The Lighthouse Church is a Bible-based church and follow the doctrine there-in. We continually seek to base our apostolic faith, pentecostal beliefs and lifestyle on direct scriptures of the Bible and biblical principles.

You repent, I’ll baptize you in Jesus Name and God will give you the Holy Ghost – It’s just that easy! – Pastor. Akers

Step 1 Repent & Have faith in Jesus Christ as Savior

According to Acts 3:19, be sincerely sorry for your sins, repent of those sins and Jesus will forgive!

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. – Acts 3:19

Believing and Repentance is not be be confused with salvation itself – both are essential but only the first step.

See Acts 8:12-17 and 11:14-18

Step 2 Be Baptized in Jesus Name (baptizo = immersing).

According to Acts 22:16, we must be baptized “meaning immersing in water” in the name of the Lord, which is Jesus.

And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. – Acts 22:16

Being baptized in His name, Jesus, his blood has washed away all your sins and you are a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Please note that being baptized is not to be confused with the titles “Father-Son-Holy Ghost” or “sprinkling or pouring of water. We MUST be baptized in JESUS name and immersed in water.

See Acts 8:35 and 19:1-6

Step 3  Receive the Holy Ghost, evidence by tongues.

According to Acts 2:4, they were all filled and did speak with other tongues. God has promised us the Holy Ghost and we will speak with other tongues as well as the evidence.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. – Acts 2:4

Evidence of tongues are not to be confused with a prayer language or one of the optional gifts of the Spirit, we must follow the scripture. As they did in Acts 2:4, we to shall receive the Holy Ghost and speak with other tongues and the Spirit gives us the utterance.
